Green Tea – What’s In It For You! If you have ever gone to a Japanese restaurant, nine times out of ten they have served you green tea. You may like it, or you may not. But what you may not know is that it is not only healthy for you, but it also burns calories. First off not all green teas will do this. Green tea that is made from leaves will do this best, while powdered teas may not have as much as an effect. Some of the benefits include; reduces incidence of cancer, lowers blood cholesterol, prevents halitosis, stimulates wakefulness, reduces stress and aids carbohydrate metabolism. On average, drinking green tea can give up to a 4% increase in energy. Basically if you drink green tea your metabolism will go up slightly, and even more if you are an active person. But this will only be effective if you drink green tea without additives. So if you like a lot of sugar in your tea, don’t think that you will still lose a few calories. Nothing comes that easy. Unlike diet pills, green tea will not raise the speed of your heart. Which can often have a negative impact on the heart. Article by Chris Grantham |
