PlanetPlugged: What kind of modeling do you do and for how long
have you been in it?
Stacey: Much of the modeling that
I do is Commercial and Fashion Print, along with tradeshows and live
events. I've been signed with my current agency for the past two to
three years.
PlanetPlugged: What made you interested to break in into the
import scene?
Stacey: To tell you the truth I
have only been to a handful of shows (all in the Northern CA area).
I spend a lot of time online each day and noticed that it catered more
towards the Asian population. Needless to say it was worth a shot.
PlanetPlugged: Are you with any agency or affiliated with?
Stacey: I am signed with Affinity
Model & Talent Agency in San Francisco as a Fashion Print model. During
the day I work as an Agent/ Talent Coordinator full time with them during
the week as well. www.affinitytalent.com
PlanetPlugged: Have you been featured in any magazines or such.
If so, name some.
Stacey: Unfortunately I haven't
made it to any magazines, but I have done print work for various companies.
I have appeared several times on the television show Nash Bridges. I
was also fortunate to work on such films as Sweet November (starring
Keanu Reeves & Charleze Theron) and 40 Days & 40 Nights (starring Josh
Hartnett).
PlanetPlugged: Aside from you own website, is there any other
place in the world wide web where your viewers can see
more of you?
Stacey: Absolutely. Photos that
are not on my sites' portfolio are all archived in my yahoo club. staceyleefanclub
PlanetPlugged: How was it like to have held the titles for US
Open, US National, Jr. Olympic, Jr. National for table
tennis? It must've been awesome.
Stacey: Yes it was. Surprisingly
the ratio of men to women in this sport is just about 258 to 1. Needless
to say the competition in the women's division is a lot less. Not too
many people consider table tennis as a sport but it takes just as much
commitment as any other sport out there. I guess you could say I had
put in the time to train and stay dedicated along with parents who definitely
supported my traveling, which enabled me to compete and stay active
on the ranking ladders.
PlanetPlugged: Is there any favorite photographer? I've seen most
of your pictures taken by Calvin Jeng starting from
way back in the days from 749inc.com. How would you
describe his style in taking pictures and how is he
like to work with?
Stacey: Yes Calvin is great. We
spend the days just grabbing lunch sometimes and he'll bring his camera
along and just capture my natural shots. Much of the time it isn't even
a planned photo shoot. It just goes to show that he's a terrific photographer.
He does have his own site that people can check out. http://geocities.com/calvinjeng.
Calvin also works closely with fashion designer Jesse Khong www.jessekhong.com
and has shot the majority if not all of the collections on his site.
