Watches - It's Not Just For Telling Time These days most people have a way to tell time. Whether it is from a cell phone, a pager and the most common a watch. As people become older their tastes change, and having a nice watch is a necessity for many people. Years ago my friend Ellen told me everyone needs a good watch. A watch unlike any other piece of jewelry, will tell you something about a person. Not just how much they have, but about what type of lifestyle they may lead. Most watches now have quartz in them to regulate time, with the exception of some Swiss makers. For those few watchmakers that use perpetual motion, those watches are well worth the effort to keep in movement. I will discuss a few watches between $100-$499, $500 to $2000 and lastly watches that are beyond $2000. Each watch has their benefits whether it is the ability to dive 200 meters or to accent the new diamond necklace. An expensive watch also sets a man or woman apart from others. It makes an individual look special and also says that you think they are special when you give the gift of a fine watch. Kenneth Cole and Anne Klein have beautiful watches for under $200, and you can still be in style without breaking your wallet. Just under the $500 price mark, the Movado Concerto Collection is a very stylish and classy watch line. Just around the $1000 mark, Tag Heuer makes a classy watch with a nice leather strap in its Link Series watch. Usually most Tag watches would have the steel band, which it is very well known for. This watch can be used as a nice casual watch, and even a sports watch since it is water resistant for 30m. A little higher up the Cartier Tank Vermeil Watch, is a classy ladies watch with a brown strap. Page 2 |
