Interview with Producer/DJ Milithor continued... PlanetPlugged: How did you first become interested in the Trance and Electronic scene and producing music? Milithor: MP3.com, I wanted to hear some Techno, and came across some artists like Trance Control and Infinity 303, I pretty much fell in love with the melodies, though the 8 bit songs from Nintendo will always haunt me. At that time I thought it was all Techno, but I eventually learned what was what. Since hearing Nintendo though, I always thought that there was a place I could go to, to dance to this kind of music. MP3.com was what really put the fire into me to find what would be called raves. My earliest production experiences were with acid pro in early 2001. Later on that year I would get into spinning, which left me no time for production. In 2002 I got a little more serious about production, and me and my brother bought some Korgs and started working with my brother, under the name Titus Brothers. It is really nice to be working with my brother, he is really good at what he does. PlanetPlugged: When did you create your first song/mix? Milithor: 2001, but now that my ear has developed a lot more, it really isn't that great by today's standards. But it was a fun tune for sure, who knows it just might surface in a different form. And as far as my first mix it was early 2002, the mix was called The Buzz (not to be confused with The Buzz v2.0) it had more success than I could have imagined. It even aired on German radio. I recently put it back on my site for people to hear. PlanetPlugged: What music do you have out that the public can pick up and listen to? Milithor: For now I only have my three mixes, The Buzz, The Buzz v2.0 and Seeing Is Believing. Me and my brother are working on tracks we can release. Though as far as me playing some of them out, you can expect to be hearing a few of them in the near future. I should also be working on a mix CD sometime in June. PlanetPlugged: Congratulations on your success as being top rated with The Buzz V2.0 on the Global Trance Movement website, that is a sick track. Are you going to release it on any other media formats? Milithor: Thank you. I actually still have some CD's for that. I will usually have copies when I play out. Page 4 |
